Places of interest
You'll retrieve all the places of interest within the guide and the galery of Barcelona's monuments. One of the most curious monument is without any discussion the Sagrada familia La Sagrada Familia is truly awe-inspiring - even if you don't have much time, don't miss it. The life's work of Barcelona's favourite son, Antoni Gaudí, the magnificent spires of the unfinished cathedral imprint themselves boldly against the sky with swelling outlines inspired by the holy mountain Montserrat. They are encrusted with a tangle of sculptures that seem to breathe life into the stone. Antoni Gaudí died in 1926 before his masterwork was completed, and since then, controversy has continually dogged the building program. Nevertheless, the southwestern (Passion) facade, with four more towers, is almost done, and the nave, begun in 1978, is progressing. Some say the shell should have been left as a monument to the architect, but today's chief architect, Jordi Bonet, argues that the task is a sacred one, as it's a church intended to atone for sin and appeal to God's mercy on Catalunya. |

Paella is a rice dish, originally from Valencia, Spain, where it is eaten especially on Sundays and in Fiestas usually at the midday meal not in the evening.probably the best know, is a rice-based dish and comes is various forms.
The PAELLA MIXTA would contain meat (pork, rabbit, chicken etc) pieces of white fish, squid, clams, prawns, crayfish plus strips of fresh pimiento and beans - and of course garlic.
If you want one without meat, you should order a PAELLA DE MARISCO.
The ingredients will always vary anyway, from place to place, according to availability and would normally have to be booked in advance, unless you are prepared to wait for an hour or more.
A "classic" paella is lightly burned in the last moments of cooking to produce a tasty layer on the bottom - which is scraped out with spoons at the end of the meal!
